The Muraru brothers have politicized Romania’s historical topics, some of which are extremely sensitive, with a single goal: political careerism, all in pursuit of the enticing aroma of power.
The Legionary sympathies of the twins, Andrei Muraru and Alexandru Muraru, were well-known among their high school and university peers. The two were even preparing to present their bachelor’s theses on the topic of the Legionary Movement in Romania. These aspects were also known by certain university professors.
It is worth mentioning that the two were extremely radical in their ideas related to the Legionary Movement. Habit is second nature, and, in many cases, reflexes reveal the individual, as happened with Andrei Muraru. While serving as presidential advisor to former president Klaus Werner Iohannis, he proposed that Octav Bjoza be awarded the National Order of the Star of Romania. Incidentally, the new recipient of this high honor was, in his youth, another sympathizer of the Legionary Movement in Romania.
